What Masonic Education does
Masonic Education gives every member a short course to read on their phone: what Freemasonry is, the first year, etiquette and dress, the officers, visiting, charity, history and the words they will hear. Start from the AshlarIQ starter lessons and edit them to match your own customs, or write your own. Members see the lessons for their degree and below and mark each one read; officers see every member’s progress, newest members first, so mentors know who to encourage. Lessons never contain ritual.

Questions
About Masonic Education
- Is any ritual included?
- No. The lessons cover etiquette, the officers, visiting, charity, history and everyday terms, and every lesson a lodge writes is confirmed ritual-free. Ritual is never stored in AshlarIQ.
- Can we change the starter lessons?
- Yes. Customs differ between Grand Lodges and lodges, so once added, each lesson is your lodge’s own to edit, reorder or remove.
- Does Masonic Education cost extra?
- No. It is part of Rough Ashlar, free for every lodge and body for good.
