What Candidates does
Candidates gives the Secretary one place for everyone on the way to joining the lodge. Add an enquiry by hand or straight from your website’s enquiry form, record the proposer and seconder, set the next follow-up date and move each candidate through petition, interview and ballot. Every stage change and note is kept in the candidate’s log. When they are initiated or join, one click creates their member record, as an Entered Apprentice or, for a joining member, a Master Mason. Only the Secretary and lodge admins see candidates, and no background checks are run or stored.

About Candidates
- Who can see candidates?
- Only the Secretary and lodge admins. Candidates are not members yet, so they never appear in the member register, on ID cards or to other members.
- Do you run background checks?
- No. AshlarIQ never runs or stores background checks. The lodge keeps its own notes from enquiries and interviews.
